Event Description
Sharpen your piloting skills with EAA Chapter 40’s combined VMC Club and IMC Club meeting. Pilots and aviation enthusiasts of all experience levels are invited to participate in real‑world scenario discussions designed to strengthen decision‑making, safety awareness, and airmanship.
This month’s Questions of the Month:
VMC Question (May 2026):
“You’ve carefully planned a cross‑country flight of considerable length. Besides your flight plan, what strategies can you employ to maintain situational awareness of your fuel status and avoid fuel exhaustion?”
IMC Question (May 2026):
“Many pilots consistently use a 65 or 75 percent power setting in cruise. Under what conditions would a best range or best endurance power setting be warranted, and how can you set them?”
Bring your updated FAR/AIM, POH, and reference materials — and hold your answers until the meeting so everyone can learn together. As always, “iron sharpens iron.”
All are welcome: aviation enthusiasts, student pilots, sport pilots, private pilots, commercial pilots, and even “Skunkworks” test pilots.
