Grampa Pettibone Luncheon, Garden Grove

Our speaker this week is Pope Bishop, the CO of VMFA-314 "Black Nights".  They fly the F-35C, carrier-based version of the Lightning II.  They recently returned from deployment as part of CWW-9 aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72).   VMFA-314 was selected as Marine Fighter/Attack Squadron of the Year 2025 in part for "executing the first F-35C combat operations of any service", see attached article.  I have also attached a copy of an article from a Third Fleet publication and a copy of Pope's Navy biography.  

I am hoping for a large turnout for this brief.  Please invite your friends and relatives to join up.  Just make sure to RSVP with me before 1700 on Wednesday, 9 July.
