EAA to unveil plans for Discovery Park youth area on July 20 during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (July 16, 2026) — Media representatives are invited to join EAA leaders on Monday, July 20, as they announce the creation of Discovery Park, a major expansion of youth education facilities and programming on the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh grounds.

WHEN: Monday, July 20, at 10:45 a.m. (event should last approx. 20-25 minutes)

WHERE: Between the EAA Blue Barn chapter building and Aviation Gateway Park (Knapp Street, approx. 300 yards north of the FAA Control Tower)

WHO: EAA CEO/Chairman Jack Pelton and Margaret Brill, Vice President of the EAA Aviation Foundation.

DETAILS: Discovery Park, which will open on this site at AirVenture 2027, is a modern youth engagement area with age-appropriate programming. It is the next evolution of the current KidVenture area, which has welcomed tens of thousands of young people for aviation discovery over the past quarter century. KidVenture programming will be moving to this new location and facility in 2027. It further fulfills EAA’s vision to educate, inspire, and engage youth and promote The Spirit of Aviation.

Representatives of the EAA Aviation Foundation, EAA Education team, and KidVenture volunteers will be available for interviews immediately following the announcement.
