Fleet Week Los Angeles 2025: A Weekend of Aviation Excellence

Los Angeles, CA – The Southern California aviation community is gearing up for another thrilling Fleet Week Los Angeles, set to take place this weekend. The annual event, featuring flyovers, aerial demonstrations, and the renowned U.S. Navy Leap Frogs parachute team, promises excitement for attendees and pilots alike.

Fleet Week festivities will be in full swing from Friday through Monday, with numerous aviation performances over Cabrillo Beach, Long Beach, and the USS Iowa. A highlight of the weekend includes the Leap Frogs' precision parachute jumps, scheduled at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM on Friday, followed by additional jumps throughout the weekend.

Aviation enthusiasts can expect flyovers from law enforcement, fire rescue helicopters, and military aircraft, including performances by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), and the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). Monday will also see aerial support for the Green Hills Memorial Day service from 10:00 AM to noon.

Pilots in the region are advised to exercise caution, especially in the Terminal Island and PV practice areas. Special Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) will be issued by Thursday, with Fleet Week Advisory available on 122.85 to provide real-time updates. Banner tow operators and rotary aircraft are encouraged to coordinate to avoid unexpected encounters with fast-moving aircraft arriving from offshore.

Additionally, while Fleet Week is centered in Los Angeles, a National Anthem flyover will occur at Angel Stadium in Anaheim on Monday at 6:28 PM before the Angels vs. Yankees game.

For a full list of scheduled flyovers and safety guidelines, pilots and attendees can refer to official Fleet Week communications. The aviation community is encouraged to spread the word and ensure a safe and spectacular celebration.
